If you see "lo" on your iGrill's display, this means that the temperature being read by the currently active temperature probe is below its low threshold of 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Please note that the iGrill and the accompanying iGrill app will only register temperatures between 32 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The iGrill temperature probes are designed to withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, above which damage not covered under warranty may occur.
The iGrill Pro App will prompt you to register your new iGrill when the app is loaded for the first time. If you select "Remind Me Later" for the first registration, you'll have the opportunity to register your iGrill after a few more uses. If you select "No Thanks," you will not be prompted to register again. If you'd still like to register, here's a direct link:
If you'd like to be able to view the registration option in the iGrill Pro App, but you don't want to wait, you can uninstall the iGrill Pro App and re-download from the App Store or Google Play Store. Please be aware: this will erase any presets alarms or temperature data saved in your app.
The temperature probes are electronically calibrated to work with the iGrill unit. Unusually high or sporadic temperature readings can be an indication of damage to the probe. Replacement temperature probes are available through our website, www.iGrillinc.com. However, if you've experienced a probe failure within 30 days of purchase, you may be covered for a free replacement under our Product Warranty. If you have a probe reporting unusual temperatures and are inside this warranty period, please contact our Customer Support.
Here are some general guidelines for safe and effective probe use. When used properly, the temperature probes will last indefinitely in your grill, smoker or oven.
To prevent damage to your temperature probes, adhere to the following guidelines:
- Do not use the meat probe to monitor pit/air temp by laying the probe directly on hot metal grating (the Ambient Temperature Probe, sold seperately, is designed for that purpose).
- Do not expose to contact with flame.
- Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Do not expose to direct contact with the metal grill grates.
- Do not immerse the probes in water (the probes are NOT dishwasher safe).
- Do not use the temperature probes for monitoring hot fry oil or any other liquids.
The iGrill device has a limited connection range of 200 feet without obstructions. Any form of obstructions, including but limited to walls, windows, flooring, or large metal objects may affect the iGrill's signal strength and thus decrease the connection range. In order to test the effective range of the Bluetooth connection for your device, pair your Apple or Android device to the iGrill and walk away from the iGrill in a straight line away from the it, making sure there are no obstructions between you and the iGrill, such as walls or the floors of your home.
If you are still experiencing a loss of bluetooth connection or if you are still unsatisfied with the range you're experiencing with your iGrill, insert a fresh set of batteries and test again.
If your problem has still not been resolved, please contact our customer support team for a prompt response.
If you're observing error codes, "8.8.8" repetition, or other blinking lights on the LED display, it's most likely an issue related to the batteries currently installed in the iGrill unit. Please try the following to resolve the issue:
Immediately remove and discard the 4 factory supplied batteries (Rocket/Panasonic/HW) that came with the iGrill package (or remove and discard the batteries that are currently installed in the iGrill).
Next, install 4 brand new AA disposable alkaline batteries such as Energizer or Duracell. Everything should now work properly. (A brand new set of batteries resolves virtually all electronic issues with the iGrill). You'll need to reset the iGrill bluetooth connection, and re-pair with your mobile device again.
If the problem persists, please follow up with our customer support team for a prompt response.
The iGrill can only pair with one Bluetooth-enabled mobile device at a time. For example, if your iGrill is currently paired with an iPhone, you will need to completely clear the saved connection data for both the iGrill and iPhone before pairing your iGrill with another mobile device, such as an iPad, Android device, or a different iPhone.
To do this, simply select "Forget this Device" under the Bluetooth menu for the paired device with which you no longer wish to connect. You will then be ready to pair with the new device by performing a factory reset on the iGrill itself by following the standard reset process.
Depending on the nature of the warranty claim, the information provided, the original purchase location and other circumstances, the majority of warranty claims require approximately 1 to 3 weeks to process after authorization.
We offer a 90-day limited warranty for iGrill manufacturing defects. The limited 90-day warranty period for the iGrill is a definite, fixed period commencing on the exact purchase-date and specified on the product description page as well as the policy page. The date on your sales receipt is the date of purchase unless otherwise informed. This warranty policy does not apply to products that may have been electronically compromised or operationally or physically damaged, and does not provide any guarantee for product operation outside of the written specifications. We are only able to assist with warranty claims related to manufacturing defects for products within the limited warranty period.
